As we kick off our annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway, we’re excited to connect with our community and spread holiday cheer! However, we also want to take this opportunity to remind our members about the importance of internet safety, especially during this festive season.
Last year, some of our valued members experienced scams where individuals impersonated our credit union and attempted to solicit sensitive information, like credit card numbers. We want to ensure that everyone can participate in our giveaway with peace of mind. Here are some essential tips to keep your information safe:
1. Verify Official Communications
When participating in our giveaway, always verify that the communication is coming directly from Lincoln County Credit Union. We will never ask for sensitive information, such as your credit card number or passwords, through social media or email. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from us, please report it immediately.
2. Know Our Giveaway Procedures
Our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway will be conducted entirely through our official Facebook page. To enter, simply comment on the daily posts with your answers. Winners will be notified privately by the credit union. Always double-check the sender’s information if you receive a message regarding a prize.
3. Avoid Sharing Personal Information
During the giveaway, we encourage you to share your thoughts and answers in the comments. However, never share personal information, such as your phone number, email, or credit card details, publicly or in response to any inquiries. Your safety is our top priority.

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility
The giveaway is open to members of Lincoln County Credit Union who are at least 18 years old.
Employees of Lincoln County Credit Union are not eligible to participate.
2. Entry Period
The giveaway will run from 12/13/2024 to 12/24/2024, with one question posted on Facebook each day.
3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must comment on the daily giveaway post on Facebook with their answers to the questions provided.
Participants are eligible for one entry per day, per person. Multiple entries and duplicate submissions will not be counted.
4. Prize Information
Winners will be contacted directly by LCCU via phone call.
5. Winner Selection
Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received each day.
The credit union reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with the rules.
6. Privacy
Lincoln County Credit Union values your privacy. Personal information collected for the giveaway will be used in accordance with our privacy policy.
We will never ask for sensitive information on social media. Your safety and security is our top priority.
7. General Conditions
Lincoln County Credit Union reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway at any time for any reason.
