CU Contributions

The credit union movement is a social movement, and social involvement is a part of the credit union philosophy and operating principles. It is our policy to invest financial resources in selected charitable, community, and civic organizations whose goals and objectives are consistent with the credit union philosophy of improving credit union members’ well-being, promoting the credit union ideal of cooperative self-help, and bringing about human and social development.

LCCU will consider the following in granting a charitable contribution:

  • Stability of the organization – must provide the most recent income and expense report for project or organization.

  • Social impact of contribution • Number of people who can or will benefit

  • Recognition of contribution

LCCU will not consider making contributions to the following:

  • Political or partisan organizations

  • Religious, ethnic, labor, or fraternal groups unless the group is sponsoring an event or activity that is consistent with the credit union philosophy and corporate objectives.

  • Individuals who are seeking funds for personal endeavors
